Graphic Designer(November 2015-Present)

This is a retail position requiring advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Hotkey memorization is an absolute must to be able to create a full T-shirt design for a customer on the spot in around 15-30 minutes. Customers come in for one-off designs, or hundreds of pieces to be done, and can be done in one of several radically different printing processes including Silk Screen and Direct to Garment prints.

Customer Service Representative (September 2011-December 2012)

Customer Service is a vital part of any business, especially if that business is strictly an online based company. Picture It On Canvas has its customers upload their pictures onto a website to pre-visualize, and order a canvas with their uploaded picture printed on it. Unfortunately, the website may not have been as straigtforward and user friendly as some would have liked it, so our help line number was provided on the website. Customers would call us to ask questions about how to place their order, ask about the status of their canvases currently in production, and voice their worries about anything that may have gone wrong with the ordering process. In addition to calling us, customers could email us with all of the same concerns, and we would do our best to help them out. This role required typing skills, professionalism when speaking and writing to customers, and intimate knowledge of the website and support systems, as well as knowledge of Photoshop.

Stereo Compositor (March 2011-June 2011)

A Stereo Compositor is someone who takes two dimensional assets (film clips) from a movie or other video source, and converts it to a three dimensional product using proprietary software. After the Stereo Compositors are finished with a particular project, it will be able to be viewed with 3D glasses in any movie theatre, and will have the three dimensional effect apparent on the screen. All compositors go through a strict training program to make sure they have the skills to be able to work on any title they may be given access to. Stereo compositing required deep knowledge of programs such as Adobe AfterEffects, and Nuke.

Cashier (July 2007-March 2011)

As a cashier at Party City, I met customers as they entered and left the store. I made sure that transactions were completed quickly and efficiently. This required learning the cash register system for the company, gaining extensive knowledge of products offered, and where they were located within the store. A cashier's duties also included answering the phone and being able to answer any question that a customer may ask us. Halloween was a very hectic time, and required a cool head in the face of agitated customers, and long lines.
